Working with several NGO’s and a State Wildlife department, Maravi conducted a nationwide survey of how wildlife crime evidence was handled. The assessment included assessment of evidence handling all the way from point of seizure, investigation and prosecution activities all the way through to national stockpiling and ultimately destruction. A major part of this engagement was the inventorying of over 8,000 pieces of ivory and rhino horn for transportation to a newly built nation stockpile.
